OK, so if I’m being honest this is my third time typing out a hello world post. The first time I posted one was when this website was originally created, documenting my issues and troubles with getting the website to display on “https://zaklinacz.com/.” I even posted about 5 posts before letting go of my home-lab for a couple months and forgetting to update certain apps. When I did a mass update my SQL files were seemingly corrupted as well as my word-press. I tried to recover it through backups but was unsuccessful so were back here to square one!
So I’ll start it all again…
Hi I’m Harry,
This website marks the beginning of documenting, exploration, and reflect on my home lab experiments. It’s not just a collection of configs and tech notes (though there will be plenty of that), but a live log of my process, pitfalls, breakthroughs, and everything in between as I build and maintain my own home lab environment.
I’m currently a full-time IT professional with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. While I’ve built a solid foundation in the field, my real passion lies in desktop engineering.
Alongside that, I’m diving deeper into cloud services, especially Microsoft Azure. One of my near-term goals is to get Azure certified. You can expect posts on that journey too lab work, study strategies, resources I find useful, and any lessons I pick up along the way.
But this site won’t be all tech, all the time. I also produce music, ranging from structured compositions to chaotic electronic experiments. Occasionally, you’ll see posts about music gear, production techniques, or just reflections on what I’ve been working on creatively.
This is a place for experimentation and learning. Nothing is polished, and that’s kind of the point. I’m here to tinker, break things, fix them, and hopefully become better at what I do.
